Plaintext Emails

This How-To is aimed at newbies, who typically use Web-based email to send emails to the mailing list, and since the default option of sending emails is HTML in Yahoo!, this How-to demonstrates composing and viewing plain text emails to / from the list.

Configuring your Web-based Yahoo! Email account to send/view plain text emails

1. Considering that you have logged on to your email account, go to the "Mail" menu and click on it. You'll find Mail-> Options (ellipsed) under it as shown in the below screenshot.

2. On clicking Options, you'll be directed to the a page as shown below in the screenshot, where you can locate "General Preferences" (ellipsed) under the second column (Management). Click on it to continue

3. You'll see a page as shown below. Click on the radio button associated with the text "Compose messages as plain text "

4. The other optional options are viewing and composing width (in characters). Allow default values. Also, include part of the message while replying, allows you to answer to a particular question in an email. The screenshots are shown below.
